What to Carry: The Home Visit Physiotherapist's Kit

When you work from a bag and a vehicle, forgetting one thing means a wasted visit or a trip back across the city. A well-packed kit makes every home visit smooth. It does not need to be big; it needs to suit the patients you see.

Keep it organised

Use pouches or small boxes for each category, packed the same way every day. Restock at the end of every week, and track supplies like clinic stock. See inventory.

Look after your own back

Carrying a heavy bag up stairs many times a day hurts your own body. Carry only what you need for that day's patients, and pack heavy items low.

Safety items

A small first aid kit, a torch, and emergency contacts on your phone. See home visit safety.
