Creating and Selling an Online Exercise Program as a Physio

In the clinic you can help maybe ten patients a day. A good online program for knee pain or back pain can help hundreds, even while you sleep. That is why it is attractive. But a good program takes real work to build and sell, and it must be safe for people you have never examined.

Part of How to Earn Online as a Physiotherapist in India: A Practical Guide, in Earning online.

Choose one problem you know well

Programs that sell solve one clear problem for one group: "knee pain in women over 45", "back pain for IT professionals", "returning to cricket after a shoulder injury". If you are known for something, start there. See finding your niche.

Design for people you have not assessed

  • Screen at the start: who must see a doctor or physio first, and red flags that mean stop.
  • Clear progressions with simple rules for when to move up.
  • Explain normal soreness and what is not normal.
  • Say clearly that the program is general guidance, not a personal assessment.

Record it simply

Clear videos in good light with simple spoken instructions are better than expensive shooting. A phone on a tripod and a quiet room are enough. Record in the language your audience speaks: English, Hindi or regional.

Choose how people buy it

A course platform, a membership page or a simple paid download with UPI payment. Pick the easiest option that handles payment and access.

Find buyers before you finish

Tell your patients and followers what you are making and ask who wants it. A waiting list before launch tells you if it will sell. See building a contact list and YouTube, Instagram and blogs.

Price it honestly

Less than a clinic session, but enough to show its value. A clear refund policy builds trust.

Keep your standards

Follow your council's ethics. Do not promise guaranteed results or cures.
